| JR received a good look by the Astros in September. He did well at the plate in the limited ABs, including 6 extra base hits in 31 ABs vs RHP. His card will look nice, but with the limited usage he might just be a September call-up for your Strat team! | ||||||

All signs point to JR receiving a fair chance at the starting catcher role beginning in 2008. Brad Ausmus has been signed for another season, but it probably is in a backup role to JR. He has a patient approach at the plate and should hit for average with some gap power.  |
